Yoga During the Holidays

How is it already the end of December? This year has been unprecedented in so many ways. I’m especially grateful for my Yoga practice and the gift of community and connection it has given me. It is with a truly happy heart that I am able to offer Yoga during the winter break, so if you are missing your Yoga practice, come back and get a little peace and connection. If you’ve been maintaining a regular practice, let’s keep it going!

Making time for yourself – for your mental and physical health is one of the best things you can do for you and your loved ones. The holidays can be a truly stressful time, whether you are with family, alone, missing loved ones or grieving. Yoga can help with stress relief, anxiety, and allow you to feel connected and present.

holly, gift

Yoga is a gift to yourself.

You do not have to be perfect to do Yoga.

Yoga is also a place of non-judgement where there is no such thing a perfecting a pose. You practice the poses as your body allows you to – and that is the beauty of it. Yoga is for every BODY, there is always a modification available or a way to level up for those looking to challenge themselves more. In Savasana, practitioners are able to unwind, relax and recharge – these minutes of mindfulness are critical components for both mental and physical health.

… the scientific study of yoga demonstrates that mental and physical health are not just closely allied, but are essentially equivalent. The evidence is growing that yoga practice is a relatively low-risk, high-yield approach to improving overall health.
